Through the Queensland Government Hydraulics Laboratory (QGHL), the team delivers over four decades of expertise in coastal engineering, monitoring, and disaster management. QGHL manages storm tide and wave monitoring networks, oversees the Tweed Sand Bypassing Project, and provides technical support on coastal processes and impacts. With state-of-the-art facilities, leading experts, and a collaborative approach, the team supports policy, research, and planning to safeguard Queensland’s coast, working closely with industry to conserve and showcase the environment for future generations.
